Gladys Zeevaarders (1993, Kerkrade) graduated as an artist in 2018 from the Master Fine Arts and Design at the Maastricht Institute of Arts.
Since then, she has been using various graphic and drawing techniques to question found images - objects that she encounters in the environment that is familiar to her.
The adventure and enchantment she experience’s by exploring these surroundings ensures that a rich breeding ground springs up. This rich soil enables her to playfully build up a wondrous collection of different materials. And could be perceived as a personal 'field guide' of subjective hypotheses, ideas, and interpretations arranged according to her own rules.
This self-created collection is shared with others to start a conversation as part of an ongoing dialog that questions the way we perceive our environment and the way we interact with it.
